Wow, I didn't know they had a yami no Matsuei manga out. I went to Walden’s for fun and there it was. ^_^ Yayness. Plus the latest Fushigi Yugi. I don't know, but something about reading it in the book form is just as entertaining even if I know what is going to happen. Maybe its because I can linger over the fun parts. That’s always good. They've both got shojo on the top of them. Yeash, girly manga is good manga at times. But sometimes girly manga can be a bore. I just love the image of Tsuzuki on the front cover of Descendants of Darkness. His face and hair tell you, "Love me!" but his eyes say, "But be careful!"
Oooh! And I got home in time to watch the Simpson’s. How sweet is that? I think I'll get some food and read some manga. Or I'll save that for later and play games. Wow! Robert Heinlein is the most awesome author I've ever read a book by! He is the king at suspense. And he has good comedy at the same time. I'm in the middle of the first book of his that I've read and I can already see that I'm going to have to get all of his books and devour them. This one's called "The Unpleasant Profession of Jonathan Hoag." It's kind of a group of short stories, with the title being the main one. They should do a movie out of this short story. I'm just stoked. I was so into the middle of the book I was reading it at college while I was eating and this man came up to me. I didn't even realize it till he said something and I'm hardly ever snuck up on. I was so into the book that when he started talking to me I just kind of looked up and gave him a blank stare. Really, I wasn't even trying to return to real life in able to talk to him proper. I was trying to get him to disappear so I could get back to my cool little world. Ugh, and it’s so hard for me to get totally into a book. And he was just peddling a stupid survey that was just a way to get my address to send me junk mail. Rooaaarrrr!
So I got up and went to read under the tree. Only the tree has been violated by the stupid "art" students. Ok, I'm going to rant about this now. Stupid stupid art students! What is the matter with them? I don’t consider my self too critical. And I'm pretty accepting of just about everything. But not if the piece in question is just a piece of shit. Some stupid bunch of students are going around and erecting these monstrosities all over the campus. They look like they are made of a wire infrastructure and over laid with a papier-mâché type crap and painted with white. That wouldn't be so bad, I guess, but the paper mache/paint is all mish mashed on the structures and the wire is bent in weird half assed humanoid shapes. Plus, their all contorted and misshapen and asymmetrical. Even then, I couldn’t give a damn about them. Whatever. Their just some gothic want-a-be moron's way of trying to piss off "The Man" but they put these cow flop sculptures in and around this beautiful live wood tree. I like to go there and climb it and read under it, but now I cant because these horrible works of idiocy are ruining it for me. I can't believe that they could think those are art. And forcing people to be subjected to their stuff is just wrong. Put the shit in the art museum on campus. That's what it's there for, isn't it? Arrrrr, how annoying. I think next week I'm going to go and move them. I got some guys that can give me a hand. We can move them away from the tree and get them out of my life. I tried it once but they added another one and moved the first back. I've given them a few weeks to get off their guard this time. I'll move them both this time and maybe tape a message about utilizing the on campus museum and stop marring the scenery. Maybe I'm taking this too hard, but just looking at their corrupt shapes pisses me off. >_Current Mood:  dissapointed |

Whaaaa. Is any one else ready for summer vacation to be here? I know I am. It seems like I don’t get anywhere with school. We just study like crazy on one thing then move our little butts as fast as we can to the next. I hardly get to absorb it before it’s gone and I’ve got to concentrate on the next thing. I’ve been working so hard I haven’t even gotten much time to surf and check up on LJ. *tre sigh* But I’ve wheedled out a few hours before and after dinner today to take some time to surf and comment. And one good thing about school is that I don’t have much free time to spend all my money. So I’ve been saving up as much as I can. Yay!
Last week I went to court for my speeding ticket. I was scared! All the cops and the magistrate seemed so imposing. But I pleaded no contest and got off with a simple court fee charge. So it was like 25$ instead of 250$. *sweat drop* I didn’t realize I was in a 45 zone! I thought it was a 55. And I was passing someone who was swerving all over the road and I didn’t want to be behind him. It was a four lane road with a median in the middle. Go figure. But when the cop pulled me over I was so flustered I didn’t know what to do or say except what he told me. Well, plus I’ve always told myself I wouldn’t try to weasel out of a speeding ticket if I got caught. And yep, I was defiantly going 66 in a 45. Bad me! *slaps wrist* But I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket before. Or even been pulled over before so my friend told me to go to traffic court, plead no contest, and the magistrate would most likely give me a second chance. Plus his dad is like the manager in charge, or whatever, of some security thing and he knows practically ever cop in our area and most of the court people, too. I guess he put in a good word for me. Gosh! I’m so lucky! ^_^ I hope that never happens again though. I’ve been trying to make a conscious effort to stay in the speed limit ever since. Lets see how long that lasts.
But since I didn’t have to pay the big whooping fine I had saved up for, I put it all in paypal and I’m going to get some new anime I’ve been wanting. I don’t know what kind of lesson that will send to my impressionable mind, but what the hay. Ack! All I’m waiting for now is paypal to clear the transfer and I’ll be all over those anime! Yay.
Oh, but if anyone has any suggestions of anime that they personally love, I would love to hear them. I might be kind of behind in that area and maybe something is out that I haven’t heard of that is worth looking into. Oh, and I’m not apposed to Japanese only dialogue. Yay! another hurricane. What ever will be will be, I suppose. But I love that song from the princess diaries second movie. The movie it’s self was nice. A bit on the contrived side, but nothing I would get up in the middle of and not bother to watch to the end. The song I like is the remake of Miracles Happen, the main theme of the first, but with Japanese lyrics. And the guy singing it has an awesome voice. He’s flawless in English as well as Japanese. Well, I can’t really say that, as I can’t speak Japanese, but he sounds good in both.
I so want to share it with people! I’ve tried out this website called yousendit.com and it seems to work. If anyone would like me to send them the track with the Japanese Miracles Happen on it, I would be delighted as along as the power holds out. Oh ho! Well would you lookie here, the update journal section is all brand spanking new for some reason. Lets see. I like the area at the bottem. I like seeing my avatar right when I choose it. And I like seeing my mood icon. Of course, I'm on one of the acursed macantosh computers at school because the lab with the pc's isn't open. So all teh drop down windows at the bottem are screwy. But I think I can judge where they should be. The top part is "meh." I dont think the paid account options should be there. If someone was going to do any of those then they certainly wouldn't be at this page. And if someone wanted to download a client then they wouldnt be here either. Having them there is just stupid. But its not so bad other then that. I like how you dont have to drop down the extra stuff anymore. Most people use the mood and icon stuff anyway, they really should be just a normal part of the update journal page.
Well, enogh of that. I hate crazy stressed dreams like last night's one. I usually have pretty vivid dreams where I have to overcome some kind of increadibly evil or stupid entity. But every now and then I get a dream that deals pretty realistically with my real life. Some times what I dream comes true. But its just mudane crap like answering a question right in a certain class or meeting someone unexspectidly. It's never anything that could help me out to know about beforehand. And I ususally forget about it till it happens in real life and then I'm like, "Oh yeah, I had a dream about that some time ago." Usually about a year passes before it happnes. But last night I had a dream that I went to school today and read my book for so long that I completly missed my lab class at 12:00. Only it was reaschedualed for 11:00 and I didnt have the book for that class anyway. AND we had a test. Which we wouldn't have in a lab course, but who keeps track of those things in a dream? So I'm panicing and running around trying to find my teacher but he's left for the day. I stop and think to myself, "This has got to be a dream! Wake up, Alix, Wake up!! Oh no! Its not a dream, how can I be asleep when I'm obviously awake here? (sound thinking in a dream, I guess) I'm so screwed!!" Then I start running in circles. I had the idea that if I did that I could turn time back like in that old Superman movie but my circles are bearly a few feet wide. My rational was that I didnt need that much time, only about two hours and who would begrudge me that? But then I woke up at 5 am and I was like, "that dream sucks! Why do I dream things like that?" Then I looked at my alarm to see how much time I had till I had to wake up for real and realized I hadn't set my alarm last night. So if I hadnt stressed in my dream and woke up then I would probubly have been late getting up and late getting to class. So I guess it all turned out better in the end. But why does one's dreams have to work in metaphorse and sybolism? If my subcounsious has something to say, then just say it, dont beat around the bush so much! I guess I should be greatful. This happens pretty frequently. At least once a semester sounds about right. I should eat some fish some times soon to reward my brain for saveing me once again. Fish is brain food, so they say. I'll have to be satisfied with PBaJ till I get home, though. Thats all I brought. I think I'll go and look up that game I've been wondering about. I wonder if anyone else has heard of Dr Quandry. We used to play it in middle school. I just had a stroke of intuition a few days ago and remembered its name. I should look it up now while I still remember it. ^_^
Oh, and this post will be riddled with spelling errors. I can get to a decent spell cheak on a stupid mac computer so I'm saying "The Hell With It!" Now you can see what a spelling dunce I am. I guess I make it up in good grammer. Oh well. -_-

Yippee! Those tests are finally all out of the way. It’s nice to bask in the glow after taking a test for a class your not so confidante in. After all, it’s the longest possible time before the next test and that’s always nice to think about. So I’ve got organic lecture next then the organic lecture discussion right afterwards. All my classes aren’t over until about 8:15 or so. I think I’ll go out and get McDevils tonight like I’ve been doing lately. I get out so late and I have such a long way to go to get home, I would rather get something to eat before I get home. I usually eat before my first class on Tuesdays at around 10:30, then I fast until 8:15 when I get out of my last class for the day. Tuesdays are my long day. I think it would do me good to have burgers and fries to look forward to while I’m trudging to and fro from classes. I think I’ll take a while to look around the internet till organic. Ah! Its so nice to not have to worry about the test any more. I guess its on to worrying about the next one. ^_^

Yay! I think I did pretty well on that organic test yesterday. I better have. I must have spent almost 20 hours studying for it. Now today I’ve got my first physics II test. Joy. I didn’t do so well in physics I with calculus. This semester I’m taking the second course with out calculus so it shouldn’t be as hard. I seem to have a handle on the conseptual part. Really, most of it is just common since. But I’m having a pretty hard time getting the word problems to work for me. Especially anything that deals with vectors. I think I’ll go and work on that for a while. Hopefully I feel as good about the physics test as I did about the organic. *prays*

Yeah, I guess I should be, what with getting Monday and Tuesday off of school this week. Monday because of Labor day and Tuesday because of hurricane Frances. Well, I'm glad to be back to school. The lights went out on Sunday but I managed to get some serious studying done by the light of the skylight in my mom's bathroom. So now I'm all caught up on organic and physics. But now it looks like next week will be much the same with this crazy Ivan coming up from Cuba to ream Florida yet another one. What’s with that? Three hurricanes in the space of one month is just too much. And Ivan is a category 5! There is no category 6. Five is as bad as it can get. Yippee! I guess at least it can't get any worse. But I've already missed school last week. I don’t want to have to miss more. I don’t know how we are going to make it up. Or if some sections wont be on the tests, or what their going to do. I guess I'll know soon enough. I have all my classes today.
But no ones going to the mall anytime soon, lol. I shouldn't laugh but I can't help it. All the roads on three sides of the mall are flooded. And the mall itself is practically under water. We're lucky the college isn't as well, as it's right next to the mall. But man! Some of the rivers haven’t even crested and here we are expecting to get a worse storm then before. Well, maybe not, but it sure looks like its going to hit Florida, mobile home capital of the world. We're going to have to wade through all the aluminum after Ivan gets through with us. But I'm not UNhappy. I'm on top of my school work now. So maybe this will give me even more time to work on it. And I'm coming along with my picture I'm doing for my friend before she leaves. Ha! She left for the last hurricane. As soon as she gets back she'll have to leave for this upcoming one. And I might get to travel up state if my mom decides to bug out. I certainly will pack all of my manga and anime in water resistant tupperware boxes if we end up moving.
Actually, I got paranoid before and they're already packed. ^^ I think I might clear out another box and pack some more stuff in it tomorrow since stupid work isn't scheduling me on the days I asked for. What’s with that?? I ask for Mondays off because I have classes, they schedule me on a Monday. I've always worked on Fridays all day and suddenly I don't get scheduled two weeks in a row. I'm going up their and giving them a piece of my mind tomorrow. What else have I to do??! I've left that day open for work so I don’t have anything else planned. What is with them? Whatever. The computer lab is opening. I've got to go print some stuff for free. Yay! Go college computer lab that prints 30 pages for free each day. ^____^

OK, I don’t think I'm one to complain a grate deal. I try my hardest to look on the bright side and find something positive to say about every situation I come up against, good or bad. And I know times are hard for us now. The hurricane is bearing down and its hard on every one to have 11 people in one house, two of them being kids. And I should be patient and understanding as much as I can. I know all that.
But this is going way to fucking far!! How RUDE is it to use someone’s toiletries without asking?!? Not to mention gross! What the hell!? I go to take a freaking shower and I find my poof on in the bottom of the tub which is COVERED with sad and dirt. Plus my towel is on the floor wet through and grimy. And my conditioner is uncapped to get diluted. Nothing is where I put it. Fuck! My exfoliating gloves were swimming in the sand as well. What the fuck! Who the hell goes to someone’s house and just uses their stuff without asking. I would probably have said yes if they had, or, more likely, shown them where to find more stuff to use on their own. The extra is under the sink. In the only cabinet in the guest bathroom, go figure, along with extra towels and all kinds of extra stuff for guests. At least if they asked I would have known what to expect. This is the only time I've forgotten to take my stuff out of the bathroom when they've come over, incidentally. I figured something like this would happen but not this bad. My bad for thinking they would respect my stuff and treat it right. My bad for thinking that they would think of my side at all. My bad for thinking she would watch her kids like moms should. My Fucking BAD!!!
My God! My sister is raising the most horrible kinds on this planet. They are wild as hell and have absolutely no discipline. She's a chronic liar who gets a kick out of attempting to fool people, which never happens when she comes here. I think that throws her off balance by the looks on her face when I catch her in her lying. He's got to be the most annoying kid I've ever met. He constantly repeats cliche phrases, a new one each time he comes over. "Did'ja see it, did'ja see, did'ja see??", "Squeek I tell ya'! Squeek, squeek!" Over and over and over and over and over and over and over till you feel like yourgoingtoloseyourmind!!!!!!
But I can deal with that. Their just doing what they do, and I can deal with that by getting out and leaving them to do it. But actively trashing the bathroom and "the mother" doesn’t come in afterwards and makes sure it’s clean? She leaves them to take their bath on their own and leave the place however they want. I've seen her house and I'm sure that is exactly what she does there, too. My sister is the worst at raising kids!! There! I said it!!!!! Either that or the rudest, most thoughtless, self-centered PIG in this end of Florida. And that is saying a lot.
Ack!!! I'm going mad and it’s just the end of the first day!!! They are so inconsiderate! And what really gets me is that she constantly makes a show of helping out, like she is so considerate. But its all half assed! She puts the leftovers away, but puts them all together. Who wants to eat lettuces with spaghetti in the same bag? She washes the dishes but doesn't use hot water. How the hell is it supposed to wash and sanitize if it’s not hot?? She offers to clean the house for my mom. My mom gives her one job that she wants done (dust because dusting makes her allergies act up severely) and she spends the day on her hands and knees making a huge show of cleaning the floors, which didn't need it, the hardest way possible when there's a perfectly good swiffer mop right there to do the job. What a hypocritical show off! She only makes more work for my poor mother who is doing her best not to go crazy herself. We take it in shifts to listen to her self righteous bull shit. She doesn't watch her kids so when things get broken or ruined, and they always do, she thinks she can yell at the top of her voice and that will make things all better. She always wants to be the center of attention and be praised for all the "stuff" she "does."
Maybe I'm being a spoiled brat. Maybe I'm taking things too hard, but I'm fucking tired of it. I hate just dealing with it. That is what she wants and expects. She knows no one wants to say anything. She lets them get away with it because no one will call her on it. She never even reprimands them when they do OBVIOUSLY bad thing right in front of her unless I or someone happens to see it and say some thing. Then she's all like, "Blah blah blah!!" and "If I catch you one more time blah blah blah!" I can't take it anymore! I'm going crazy! I think I'm a pretty sane and understanding person but I've just come to my limit, so help me!
He he, I guess only family can make one go this completely nuts, huh? That felt good to get off my chest. lol >_

Well, its almost my next class time. That would be organic chemistry lab. I like that class. I make some pretty awesome doodles on my desk while I try to figure out what the teacher is saying. I wish his English was better. >_<
I'm just waiting until I can get back home and see how my downloads are doing. I was in shock when I saw that it would take 2 weeks to download the Naruto bundle of 1-10 episodes. My god! That’s just ridiculous. So I found a place that has just 2-4. That will work. I've already got 1 anyway. I like how they did it. Even listening to it in Japanese is nice. I might end up buying the series on eBay in Japanese. I like Naruto's voice. After that downloads, I'll download something else for fun. ^_^ I think I'm getting hooked on the whole bit torrent thing.
Whoa! Got to go to class. Yeah! That much sooner to getting home. ^___^

I am now in the mist of the time I have allocated for screwing around on the internet. ^_^ I disciplined myself so well to read that whole chapter in physics that I figured I deserved some time to "let it sink in." And by that I mean, "store it away and don't think about it again until I absolutely have to." Nah, it wasn't so bad. It was a bunch of stuff about electricity and magnets and electromagnetism. I like the pictures. I swear one of them is my home town with 8 or so bolts of lightning hitting it at one time. I guess that’s what one gets for living near the lightning capital of the world. But I like lightning. I was driving to school this morning and I could see lightning off in the distance in the clouds. It was just cloud to cloud lightning but it lit up the sky in irregular intervals that were really pretty.
Speaking of pretty, I must now pursue my new craze. I'm obsessed with Yu Watase's new manga released in the US. Its called Imadoki and its about a girl who transfers to a preppy-yuppie academy for jerks and is trying to fit in as much as she can. It is so cute! And so typically Watase looking. I swear her main male character looks like a cross between Tamahome, Toya, and Yuki all at once. Which is just fine in my book. ^__^ I like the main character, Tanpopo. She’s devoted like Miaka, but so far not with that annoying streak. Se's interesting like Aya, but not with that tendency to whine so much. And she’s sweet like Alice but not with that tendency to hold her feelings back. She is an engaging character, though sometimes I get the feeling she doesn’t know when to back off a subject. I can relate with that sometimes. ><;
I was just looking at some images online of the manga and it looks like its been out there for longer then I thought. Figures. America gets everything so much later then our Japanese friends. The fact that it originated over there doesn’t help, I guess. So I am doomed to be behind the times. *big collective sigh* Well, I'll enjoy it when I get it. ^^
So I've got to shuffle around and find some good pics and put them up on my website. Maybe do something more with the manga area. I think that little place is coming right along, for a first attempt web site. Maybe one of these days I'll revamp it or something, but for now I like the way it looks. I've added quite a few more image galleries. They're mainly screen shots from animes I've watched at one time or another. Some of them are kinda small in my opinion. I think with my last computer malfunction I lost a few files with screen captures in them. I need to upload more. I get into moods where I can upload for eight hours strait and do HTML for even longer then I get overloaded with it and don’t go back for two months. I need to learn to use moderation or something, I suppose.

Yay! My audio is finally working again! Now I can listen to all my nice anime and English music again. And I had forgotten how many cool skins I had downloaded at one time. I must have been in a skin-tastic mood at that time. I think I’ve got like a hundred of them. But a select few are always showing up in the random mode. Go figure.
But also, now I can watch DVDs on my computer and at the same time screen capture new images for my galleries on my web site. I’ve already uploaded quite a few galleries. If you want to take a look you can go here:
